Who we are

Our website address is: https://en.pdj.si. The website is managed by the Jesenice Mountain Society.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the information displayed in the comment form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help detect spam.

An anonymized string generated from your email address (also called a hash value) may be passed to Gravatar to verify that you are using it. The Gravatar privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Representation

If you are uploading images to a website, avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Website visitors can download and extract all location information from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our website, you can choose to save your name, email address and website in cookies. This is for your convenience so you don’t have to re-enter your information when you leave a new comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie does not contain personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set several cookies to store your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days and display cookies for one year. If you select “Remember me”, your login will be retained for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie is stored in your browser. This cookie does not include any personal data and only indicates the publication ID of the article you have just edited. Expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (eg videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in exactly the same way as if the visitor visited another website.

These sites may collect information about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and track your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that site.

Who we share your information with

If you have requested a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we keep your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are kept indefinitely. This is so that we can automatically recognize and approve further comments, rather than holding them in the moderation queue.

For users who register on our website (if any), we also store the personal data they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit or delete their personal information at any time (except that they cannot change their username). Site administrators can also see and edit this information.

What rights do you have over your data

If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal information we hold about you, including any information you have provided to us. You can also request that we delete any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are required to keep for administrative, legal or security purposes.

Where your data is sent

Visitor comments can be checked through an automated spam detection service.
